Hello Dolphins Families,

Welcome to the Durham Dolphins Swim Team’s 50th year! This is such a special season to be part of the Durham Dolphins organization. Over the years, this team has grown, changed, and come so far — but the heart of the Dolphins has stayed the same: a commitment to helping swimmers build skill, confidence, friendships, and a love for the sport.

We are so excited to kick off another amazing summer swim season and celebrate this milestone together all season long. Whether you are a returning Dolphin or brand new to the team, we are thrilled to have you with us for such a meaningful year.

And yes — practice happens rain or shine! Dolphins are already wet anyway, right? ;) A little rain just makes us look extra committed. Please plan to attend practice if you can, even if it is raining. Practice will only be cancelled for thunder and/or lightning, and we will communicate any cancellation if needed.

This Week’s Practice Schedule

Our summer swim season begins TODAY, Monday, May 4th.

Practice will be held Monday through Friday:

• Blue Group: 4:30-5:00 PM
• White Group: 5:00–6:00 PM
• Red Group: 6:00–7:30 PM

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so swimmers have time to get ready and be on the bleachers at the start of their practice time.

New Swimmer Reminders

Please have swimmers bring:

• Goggles
• Towel
• One-piece swimsuit for girls
• Jammers or swim briefs for boys

Swimmers should meet on the bleachers, ready to go, at the start of their practice time.

USA Swimming Membership Reminder

Parents, please double check your swimmer’s USA Swimming membership status and make sure it is listed as “in good standing.” If your swimmer’s membership is not in good standing, this will need to be completed before they can start swimming.

Parking Reminder

Please remember that swim families are not permitted to park in the DRPD parking spots, even for quick drop-off or pick-up. Thank you for helping us be respectful of our shared facility space.
