Good morning Durham Dolphins families,

We hope that all of our swimmers and families are staying healthy and staying cool! As some of you know, your Board and Coaches have been working diligently behind the scenes to see if a Fall season would be a possibility to get our swimmers back in the water. After taking into account many factors such as the availability of accredited Coaches (would need 2-3), costs associated with the season and the availability of the pool through DRPD, the Coaches and Board have decided that a Fall season just isn't feasible at this time. DRPD also has some deferred maintenance that they have been waiting to do to the pool and this will give them a chance to accomplish those items. We are currently focusing on an early opening Spring 2021 season for our swimmers. Our goal always has been and is having our program active as much as possible and a Spring 2021 opening is looking feasible. As always, we thank you for all of your support, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges that it has presented. Coach Brian is also working on 3 potential grants that the Durham Dolphins may qualify for which would be an amazing gift to our team if we are awarded any or all of them. We will be announcing our annual General Meeting date in the near future which is open to anyone who would like to attend. We believe we still have one of the best programs in NorCal and will continue to work on behalf of you and your swimmers.
