Good morning Dolphin Pod!

We sure do miss having everyone at the pool! We had an update from DRPD yesterday that indicated a tentative start of summer camp on June 8. But, they did state that the pool was still not slated for an opening date as of the May 12 announcement. We are in close contact with DRPD so that we can be in the pool as soon as safely possible. Please know we are all working on it! 

As Coach Brian’s previous email stated, Sierra Nevada Swimming is offering grant opportunities for swim teams. Durham Dolphins  are eligible for $8,800 in grant funds. We successfully obtained our first disbursement because of our well organized financial records. Thank you to Tami Thomas and Jeanne Phillips!

Moving forward for the next two disbursements, we need your help! 
The second disbursement requires we have parents and athletes over the age of 12, attend a Zoom training about Safe Sport. They are one hour. And yes they are different for each group (Parent, Athelete, and Coach).

Please identify as Durham Dolphin Swim Team (CodeDDUR). Please try to attend one of the following meetings this week. Parents at NOON today!!
